Skin care products are some of the most important things to pack when traveling. Between dehytrating flights (and road trips too!) and changing climates that wreak havoc on your skin, travel is not the time to abandon your current skin care routine. You might even want to step it up a notch when traveling!
If you're like me, you don't travel light and that includes skin care products. I always bring my daily moisturizer, moisterizer with spf, eye cream, my current favorite serum, and a face mask or two when I travel. Overkill? Whose to say. ;)
But, if you need to cut down on the amount you're packing or are carrying on only, these are the skin care products I couldn't travel without...

A good moisturizer: I always have dry skin and I can't go a day without moisturizer, but it's extra important when traveling. Saranghae Skin Care Five Step Anti-Aging Routine has my favorite korean moisturizer and although I get not wanting to pack the entire skin care line, the moisturizer is a travel essential and you can bring it up a little further under your eyes than normal if you don't have room for your eye cream. My full review of Saranghae Skin Care with a video!
A face mask or two: I've said it a million times already in this post, but flying is dehydrating and it can show on your skin. That's why a face mask is high on my list of skin care essentials for travel. It's the easiest way to get lots of moisture back in your skin and leave you feeling more refreshed post flight! I do the Saranghae face mask about once a week and will definitely be taking one on our quick trip to Kansas next week.
If you're only bringing a carry on, or just want to make sure your skin care products are accessible (in-flight masking anyone?) you can grab some of these handy little TSA approved travel jars for your moisturizer. If you have room, one of these jars would also be great for your eye cream and that would be third on my list to pack! The face mask can go right in your liquids ziplock bag (or clear TSA approved liquids bag if you're fancy).
I never just have a carry on, so I always put all of my skin care products in two plastic shopping bags along with my shampoo, etc. I put everything in one bag, knot the bag, and then bag everything in the second bag and tie again. This way if something spills it doesn't get on my clothes. I've been doing this since high school and it works!
And, although not technically a skin care product, make sure you're drinking plenty of water when you travel! This will help save your skin and also prevent jet lag. I always grab a bottle as soon as I get through security since you can't have any in your bag before that and the little cup on the plane is never enough.
What's one thing you can't live without in your skin care routine? Do you have a skin care travel tip I didn't mention? Let me know in the comments below!
