This rose gold eyes look is one that I keep coming back to this summer, the colors are gorgeous and they're glam enough for a night out while not being too over-the-top for daytime wear. Complete with a bronzed face and bits of pink, it's the perfect summertime makeup.
I love, love, looooove the Lorac Unzipped Palette! I got it last summer when the palette first came out and I use it all the time. It also comes with their primer, which I really liked too. I bought mine at a Sephora store in Wichita, but it looks like they might not carry Lorac anymore? At least not online. But, I did find it at Ulta, here.
For this look, I used "unbelievable" on the lid and "unspoken" in the crease. All the details of products I used and how I used them can be found below ≫≫
Before you start the steps for this look, do your normal routine to prepare for any look. Mine is just moisturizer (I'm currently using Sephora brand for my face and Korres for my eyes), priming my eyes (usually with this), and concealer on under my eyes (always and forever this in "moderately fair"), applying a neutral shadow all over your eye except the very top portion where you highlight (always the second lightest shade in the "teddy bear" quad for me), and filling in my brows (with this pencil in "dark brown"). If you use foundation, now would be the time to apply.
1 // Using a shading brush (my favorite), apply "unbelievable" all over the bottom part of your eyelid.
2 // Using a crease brush (my favorite), apply "unspoken" in a "v" motion outlining your crease, then bring it across the eye, blending with the tip top of where "unbelievable" left off and then slowly blending up wards in windshield wiper motions. If you need to use a blending brush (like this) to soften everything out when you're done, do that now.
3 // Clean your shading brush off on a paper towel, go in with "unspoken " under the eye, starting at the outside corner (have it meet the color from the upper outside corner) and bring it in a little over halfway around. Blend out a bit.
4 // Highlight underneath your brow and in the inner corner of your eyes, I usually use Clinique "sugar sugar", which I guess is now called "sugar cane"? I'm behind the times, apparently. This really makes your eyes pop and helps make you look more awake, which is always nice.
5 // Apply bronzer (I'm loving this for a summer glow) under cheekbones and on your temples, don't forget to blend it out bringing the brush from your temple down the side of your face and under the cheekbones.
6 // Using a tapered brush (my favorite), apply a pink blush (my favorite) to your cheeks.
7 // Using a tapered highlighting brush (my favorite), apply highlighter (gorrrgeous color, I have a sample and plan to buy the real thing once I run out) starting right in between the tip of your nose and your cheekbone and swooping it up over the cheekbone and continue up and around the brow, stopping halfway across the brow.
8 // Curl and apply mascara (current favorite) to your lashes, I do about three coats (curling each time).
9 // Apply eyeliner along your top lashes, I start with a wing and work inward, then go back and fill in the wing a bit more.
10 // Apply eyeliner (my all-time forever favorite in "really black") just under your lower lashes, I start in the outer corner with a thicker line and taper it as I work inward.
11 // Apply lip balm (to avoid chalky lips) and a pink lipstick (I'm loving this lipstick in "primrose" this summer)
Fix your hair, or throw it in a braid like I do most of the summer, and you're ready to rock-and-roll. This look is a great soft/girly option for date night too. ;)
And since this is my first-ever makeup tutorial, let me know if you enjoyed it! If so, I'll definitely do more in the future and might even do some videos. Comment below ↡
