I can't tell you how many times I passed by The Kobuk in downtown Anchorage and thought, "I really want to go in there...soon." Dave and I talked about making an afternoon of it, but never got a chance before we made the move to Juneau. Kobuk was on the top of my list of new places to try when we had our little getaway last week and I'm so glad I made it a priority.
This is the type of place my Mom and I spend hours browsing and checking out all the little treasures. I knew I loved it from the moment I walked in and saw that it was filled with my favorite little trinkets. The woman behind the registered offered me a sample of their tea and it was some of the most aromatic and delicious tea I've ever had. I ended up buying a bag to take home with me, you can purchase it online here.
I was pretty proud of myself for not spending too much money in the shop, although I had to resist about a million fun things. Honestly, if I wouldn't have been thinking about what could fit in my suitcase I probably would've left with more. I bought a few items for myself and a few to give away, I know I'll be shopping their website as soon as I run out of tea!
