I was in desperate need of color to cover my WHITE hair and some layers when I found Emily Medley on Instagram. I’ve had random white hairs since I was a teenager, but after my postpartum hair loss all of the hair that’s growing back in is white, so there are way too many now! They were especially driving me nuts because they're all around my face, so they're really noticeable. Especially when I pin my bangs back, which is often these days!
We decided to do some lighter baylayage and I haven’t had hair this light since highschool, but it’s been something fun and different! I’m trying to decide what I want to do for summer…back to darker or keep the baylayage lighter. Thoughts? I can’t decide! I also think I'm ready to chop my long hair...maybe just past my shoulders. What do you think? Give me your vote in the comments!
Emily did such an amazing job and she is the sweetest, if you're in Knoxville or here for a visit you need to go see her! She's offering you all a $20 discount off your first cut/color with her, just tell her I sent you. And make sure to tag me if you post an after pic, I want to see your beautiful hair once she's done with you!
Fellas, if you want to treat your ladies for Mother's Day, Emily has one spot left tomorrow or it would make a great gift certificate that she could use anytime she wants some pampering. If you're looking for the perfect last minute gift for the Moms in your life, this is it!
They also just remodeled the Natural Alternative Salon and Spa in Beardon(?) and it looks SO good! They had Holler Design in Nashville make custom built wooden stations and they are so cool. I’m pretty obsessed. So modern and unique, it really fits the Aveda vibe now.
I did a super short (less than one minute) video about my experience too...
So what do you think? Do you like the baylayage? Should I chop it for summer and if so how short? I want to know your thoughts! Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!
