The day we had our Alaskazip Ziplining Adventure planned, the sky opened up and we had typical Juneau weather. But, I have to say, out of all the things we did the week my family was in town, I think this was one of the best days to have a rain. We were equipped with rain gear and a helmet, so it didn't really matter too much that it was a torrential downpour. It didn't take away from the amazing views up there in the slightest, and of course we still had a blast ziplining through the trees.
This was our third time ziplining (once in Hawaii and once in Vegas), and I have to say this was my favorite of the three. We got to do some pretty long zips and there weren't a lot of practice zips to get our landings down first (but we still felt totally safe and even for a first time zipper it would be perfect) like the zipline in Maui. And, ziplining through the Eaglecrest Ski Area on Douglas was such a gorgeous spot...
They even let us throw axes at the end, which was pretty comical. Dave got a bullseye on his first shot! Mine went straight to the ground, but they let me try again and I hit the board. ;) I'd recommend Alaskazip to anyone looking to book a trip to Juneau, they were friendly and we had a lot of fun. I'd love to go again soon!
Anyone else love to zipline? Where have you done a ziplining adventure that you'd recommend? Let me know in the comments!
