In case I haven't said it enough, Alaska is somewhere everyone needs to go at least once. I will admit, it wasn't in the top few on my bucket list, or even on the list at all. But now that I've lived here and traveled the state a bit, I can honestly say I can't imagine never coming here.
Alaska has changed me, for the better, and out of all the places Dave and I have lived, this one might be the hardest to leave. The views, peacefulness, and amazing animals are something we won't get anywhere else...
↟ The little black things out on the frozen lake near the icebergs are dogs/people, that's how big the glacier and mountains are!
I know Alaska in general is a big place for summer vacations, and Juneau is the number one Alaskan destination for travelers. Any of you heading this way in the summer?
For those interested, you can find a few of my Juneau recommendations here, Anchorage here, and Haines here...hoping to add a few more things to do/restaurants to the lists and a few more towns too, soon! Anyone have a recommendation for me to try out or somewhere you're wondering whether it's worth adding it to your vacation itinerary? Leave them in the comments or shoot me an email!
