Dredge Lake is right across the street from us and one of our favorite places to walk with Atka. It has a gorrrrgeous view of the glacier and there's always something fun to see, like the huge beaver shown swimming in the water above...or special people, like my brother, beating sticks and pretending to keep the bears away. It worked.
We like this trail because it's a flat walk, for the days you don't feel like hiking, and there are tons of different routes you can take. Most of the trails split off and head back to the beginning at different points so you can make it as long or short of walk as you're up to on that particular day.
For people visiting Juneau this summer, it's an easy place to stop on your way to/from Nugget Falls and West Glacier Trail! More places to visit in Juneau, here.
