Juneau, Alaska...family vacation style part 4, Nugget Falls.

My favorite place to send people/bring people who are visiting Juneau is Nugget Falls and Mendenhall Glacier. The scenery on the way to the waterfall is gorgeous and once you get there Nugget Falls and the glacier will take your breath away.

The buses had just shown up with a ton of people from the cruise ships when we took my Dad and brother during their trip to Juneau. It was packed! We brought Atka and couldn't get more than two feet without people wanting to pet and take pictures of the local dog (since she's an Alaskan Malamute). Atka was LOVING it.

Stunning, right? Logan had fun climbing the side of the waterfall, the views pretty great from up high. We plan on taking Atka again soon to get her fill of celebrity attention. ;)

Juneau, Alaska...family vacation style part 3, West Glacier Trail.

The last day my Dad and brother were in town started off looking like a typical Juneau day and ended up being gorgeous (they really lucked out on their visit). We hiked West Glacier Trail, visited the brewery, had lunch at Island Pub, and then went up Mt. Roberts Tramway for a bit more hiking. Needless to say, we sent them on their morning flight the next day ready to relax and nap the whole way home.

West Glacier Trail is a great workout if you really want a good uphill climb, this is it. Plus, the view is unreal...
